![]() Like the 1st book, I never feel the connection between the H/h, which is the whole point of a romance novel, is it not? Specific to this book. Like the 1st book, there is supposed passion but little romance/ love. geez, let the reader have some imagination. Zzzzzzz, it becomes unbearable not to fwd fast. For example, the author tells us over and over how the characters are so overcome with need they lose their minds, yet the narrative/ characters thoughts over analyze every detail. Again, every moment is over described to the extent that any sensuality is squandered under the textbookk instruction manual of the characters and every movement, touch, and thought. FRUSTRATING! The biggest problem I have is the sex scenes. I often caught myself having to rewind because I was confused at the second characters reply. ![]() The dialog has so many pauses of internal dialog that the listener loses the point of the conversation. ![]() Ergo, the length of the rambling descriptions, while present in the 1st book too, is more noticeable in this story. In fact, there is little to this story at all. The first was highly engaging, full of intrigue and excitement. ![]() This is the 2nd book I've read in this series. ![]()
